Tikka began singing

professionally in her teens, as a children’s performer doing live stage shows and house parties. In the 90’s, she was featured on Sharon, Lois & Bram’s Juno Award-winning album “Skinnamarink TV!” and toured North America with them as Ella Acapella.

Poetry has long been a therapeutic outlet for Tikka and she formed the band Chapter 18 in 2015 to put those words to music, and created a fanbase playing venues around the GTA.

During the pandemic, she kept her musical chops up by singing lead vocals (via Zoom!) for a 90’s cover band called Pretty In Plaid and had a blast performing with them live once the world opened up again. She also self-recorded vocals for a few originals during the lockdown and released videos for them under the name Tikka & The Trove.

Tikka is totally stoked about pouring her heart and soul into the creation of HopefulPhoeniX and can’t wait to share their music with the world!
