Nesting

Tikka and Tamar have both experienced rising and falling in life, overcoming challenges with mental health and LGBTQ2+ obstacles. Upon meeting each other through a spiritual music project (Hava N’ranena) they quickly discovered their commonalities, shared similar musical passion and industry aspirations. They also discovered that their combined musical energy and talent created a complimentary dynamic performance that ignites on stage and in the studio.

The creation of HopefulPhoeniX reflects the artists’ journey in facing their own individual struggles with Mental Illness, Body Shaming, Homophobia, Chronic Illness and Ageism. Together, they strive to express the tenacity and determination to soar above it all.

HopefulPhoeniX gives voice to the misfit within all of us, embracing our challenges and transforming them into soaring melodies that comfort and inspire.

According to classic lore, the Phoenix was a fabulous bird with the wing span of an eagle, brilliant scarlet and gold plumage and a melodious cry. These mystical creatures lived no less than 500 years and, as their end approached, would fashion a nest of aromatic boughs and spices, set it on fire, and be consumed by the flames; from the pyre miraculously sprang a young Phoenix.

Continually morphing, the powerful myth of the Phoenix represents the idea that the end is only the beginning.
